Benefits of new job
The wage development for those who changed jobs between the years 2008 and 2012 is higher than for those who had the same jobs during that period. For the ones who changed jobs, 18.3 percent got a better salary, while among those who remained on their jobs only 14.2 percent got higher salaries.

Second hand at Arlanda
Starting on December 3, travellers at Arlanda Airport can buy second hand clothing for their trips. It is the Red Cross, collaborating with Swedavia, that's opening a pop-up store in Sky City.

Paternity leave good for equality
The paternity months have not only led to more dads being off work and together with their kids, but it has also led to fewer moms staying home from work to care for a sick child, and moms with low wages have gotten better salaries. This according to a study conducted by Inspektionen för socialförsäkringen (the Swedish Social Insurance Inspectorate).

Plastic Christmas trees
More and more Swedes choose a plastic or fake Christmas tree rather than a real one. And for Christmas 2013, only 37 percent will have a real Christmas tree, which is a decrease of 6 percent since 2010. And according to Ĺhléns’ annual Christmas survey, many Swedes choose not to have a Christmas tree at all.
