Say hello to the newest electric vehicle maker and its first one city car.
Uniti has unveiled its first product, the Uniti One electric car during an event at the company's production facility in Landskrona, Sweden. The car is said to have a battery pack of 22 kWh and can go 185 miles on a charge. Charging the carbon fiber car for a 125-mile drive takes a half hour, according to the developers. The top speed is 80 mph. The steering, gas and brakes can be operated with a steering wheel or with a touchscreen and joystick. The car will cost from SEK 145,000 ($17,200) to a fully equipped version at SEK 199,000 ($23,600). Prior to the launch event in Landskrona, about 1,000 non-binding pre-orders had been made. The delivery start is estimated for 2019.
Based in Landskrona, the startup company's mission statement is "to design, produce and bring to the mass market, ultra-modern, high-performance, premium electric cars."
