Amazon feels the Viking love: With three new cloud computing centers located in Sweden, Amazon says it made perfect sense to locate their state-of-the-art data centers in Sweden.

Citing the strong Stockholm startup culture, commitment to sustainability, extensive connectivity and reliable networks as well as top-notch talent, Darren Mowry, Managing Director of Amazon Web Services Nordics & Baltics says, “Sweden is a dream” for cloud computing.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) first announced the establishment of a new datacenter region in the Stockholm area, positioning Sweden as the location of choice for delivery of advanced cloud services in the Nordics on April 4. The new AWS EU (Stockholm) Region will be operational in 2018.
