André and Sverker Högbom bake and decorate a variety of incredibly detailed gingerbread houses each year. The tradition has seen the brothers create scenes from Donkey Kong, a house next to an erupting volcano and a houseboat. This year's scene captures something new: Living in Östersund, they have created a house which is quite simple but stands on a branch of a tree. In incredible detail, a ladder leads to the house, windows are candlelit, lights twinkle in the branches, and a dusting a snow covers the scene. The brothers estimate they have constructed about 30 houses in total. You can see more at their website here: http://redcrab.se/galleri/frame_pk.html
