Royal christening ahead
On Sunday, June 8, H.R.H. Princess Leonore will be christened at noon in Stockholm's Drottningholm Palace Chapel. This is a christening all of Sweden can watch (and you who are not in Sweden as well on SVT Play). It will be conducted by Archbishop Anders Wejryd, assisted by Chaplain to the King Lars-Göran Lönnermark and Pastor of the Royal Court Parish Michael Bjerkhagen. According to information on kungahuset.se, the christening ceremony will be followed by a reception for all 160 guests, after which The King and Queen will invite around 100 guests to a private lunch. The invited guests are the immediate family and representatives of the Riksdag, the Government and official Sweden. Princess Leonore will be christened in the same dress worn by Princess Estelle at her christening, and the water used at the christening will come from a spring on Öland. Princess Leonore will have six godparents. The names of the godparents will be announced in connection with the christening.
