“I want us to be more than a hotel,” said Helena Söderberg, Hotel Director at Scandic Victoria. “We’re located in the middle of Kista science city, Sweden’s Silicon Valley. We want people to be able to work here or have a drink in the Sky Bar during the weekend.”

The hotel has 34 floors and 299 rooms, and cost a billion SEK ($149,109,537) to build. Students from Konstfack (University College of Arts, Crafts and Design) have worked on permanent solutions for the decoration of the elevator shafts. A night here will set you back 895 SEK ($134) – and that’s one of the smaller rooms. But the view is most certainly one of the best in all of Stockholm!

The tallest hotel in the world is the Abraj Al Bait Hotel Tower in Mecca, Saudi Arabia with 95 floors, second tallest is Emirates Park Tower 1 and 2 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates with 77 floors each. Tallest in the US, is Renaissance Center in Detroit with 73 floors.
