They all fall under the 4% barrier in a new poll by Synovate, a global market research company with offices in Sweden.

Daily Dagens Nyheter reports that according to opinion analyst Nicklas Källebring, this has never before happened in any polls. The party suffering the greatest loss is the Sweden Democrats, who after receiving praise from Norwegian terrorist Anders Behring Breivik, went from 4.8% to 2.9%, meaning they lost all of 40% of their supporters.

It’s a temporary loss though, Källebring thinks: “It’s a direct effect of the shootings at Utøya. I can’t interpret it any other way.”

The Christian Democrats continue moving backwards, and has lost 1.2% since the last poll, bringing them to a mere 3.3%. The Center Party came under the 4% hurdle last year also, and this year – the last under Party Leader Maud Olofsson who is leaving – they receive 3.8%, just one percent more than the Left Party’s 3.7%, whose leader Lars Ohly is also leaving.
