Nordic at Fashion Week New York?
..not so much in 2012 but Fashion's Night Out, this year turning 4 years, offers a smorgasbord of Nordic opportunities.

Like last year Eton Shirts on Madison Avenue bet 58 and 59 Streets promises the 'Swede-est' party of Fashion's Night Out. Who can argue, with partners such as Happy Socks, Mackmyra Whisky, Karlssons Gold and, of course, Sweden's local candy supplier 'Sockerbit' their event, between 6 and 10 p.m. on Sept 6 will be hard to beat.
Also on our map are Efva Attling Stockholm at 36 Little West 12th Street; Acne at 33 Greene Street. A good thing with H&M? Their stores are everywhere these days and getting your fill of Nordic/Scandinavian design is doable pretty much wherever you are in the Big Apple. Stores are open between 6 and 11 p.m. Find out more at Fashion's Night Out

Also, Paola Suhonen and Ivana Helsinki's runway show is at PIER 57 West Side Highway at 15th Street (25 11th Avenue) at 7 p.m. Sept 6 while crazy fun Norwegian brand Moods of Norway opens its first New York store with a "Really, really blonde" party on 75 Greene Street.
