Elfsborg took home its first Allsvenskan title since 2006 thanks to a 1-1 draw with Åtvidaberg and a Malmö loss to AIK.
Elfsborg entered the final day of the season with 58 points, two ahead of Malmö. Elfsborg needed to at least draw to win the title, while hoping if Malmö won, AIK could hold the Skåne club to less than two goals. Elfsborg not only had a two-point lead in the standings but was one goal better than Malmö in the goal-difference tie-breaker.
After Elfsborg took the lead in its match, AIK went ahead over Malmö and the road to the Lennart Johansson was wide open for the Borås side. After news reached Borås Arena that AIK had a 2-0 lead, the celebrations began.
Elfsborg led the league for 23 out of 30 rounds.
BK Häcken completed its surprise season by finishing second place. Malmö finished in third place while AIK finished fourth.
Orebro and GAIS finished at the bottom of the standings and dropped down to the Superettan. Sundsvall, which finished in 14th place, faced Halmstad in the promotion/relegation playoff.

Elfsborg 1, Åtvidaberg 1
BORÅS—Elfsborg claimed its first title since 2006 after playing to a 1-1 draw Nov. 4 with Åtvidaberg at Borås Arena. The draw, coupled with AIK’s 2-0 win over Malmö, gave Elfsborg the gold. The Borås side went ahead after 30 minutes on Stefan Ishizaki’s eighth goal of the season. Victor Prodell tied the match for AFF in the 76th minute. The goal was his 15th of the season. Elfsborg finished with 59 points, two better than second-place Häcken. Åtvidaberg finished in eighth place.

Häcken 2, Sundsvall 1
SUNDSVALL—Waris Majeed scored his league-best 23rd goal of the season to lead Häcken to a 2-1 win over Sundsvall Nov. 4 at Norrporten Arena. Majeed put Häcken up 1-0 in the 48th minute. Fredrik Holster tied the game in the 69th minute. Tom Soderberg hit the game winner in the 83rd minute. Häcken finished second in the league with 57 points. Sundsvall faces Halmstad in the promotion/relegation playoff.

AIK 2, Malmö 0
SOLNA—AIK celebrated its final match at Råsunda Stadium with a 2-0 win over Malmö. Mohammed Bangura and Viktor Lundberg scored the final two Allsvenskan goals at the stadium to lead AIK to the win. AIK moves to the new Friends Stadium in 2012. The victory gave AIK fourth place and a spot in the Europa League next season. Malmö finished in third place.

IFK Norrköping 2, Mjällby 1
NORRKÖPING—Gunnar Heidar Thorvaldsson scored his 17th goal of the season to help IFK Norrköping complete its best Allsvenskan season in a decade with a 2-1 win over Mjällby. Christoffer Nyman put Peking in front after 29 minutes. Pär Eriksson tied the match in the 46th minute. Thorvaldsson struck in the 59th minute for the game winner. Norrköping finished in fifth place in the standings while Mjällby ended the season in 12th place.

Helsingborg 2, Gefle 2
GÄVLE—Helsingborg completed a somewhat disappointing season with a 2-2 draw with Gefle Nov. 4 at Stromvallen. The 2011 champions fell behind after 12 minutes when Jakob Orlov tallied for Gefle. Mattias Lindström tied the match in the 37th minute. Nikola Djurdic put HIF in front six minutes later. The goal was the 12th in 16 matches for the Serbian striker. Jonas Lantto hit a late equalizer for Gefle. Helsingborg finished the season in sixth place while Gefle finished in 11th.

IFK Göteborg 1, Djurgården 0
GÖTEBORG—Stefan Selakovic struck in the 44th minute to give IFK Göteborg a 1-0 win over Djurgården at Gamla Ullevi Stadium. The win pushed Göteborg into seventh place in the standings. Djurgården finished in ninth place.

Syrianska 3, Kalmar 0
SÖDERTÄLJE—Syrianska scored three times in the second half to notch a 3-0 win over Kalmar Nov. 4 at Södertälje Football Arena. Dinko Felic and Sharbel Touma scored in a three-minute span to give Syrianska a 2-0 lead. Anders Bååth scored in the 83rd for a 3-0 lead. Kalmar dropped to 10th place with loss. Syrianska finished in 13th place.

Örebro 4, GIAS 0
ÖREBRO—Shpetim Hasani scored twice to lead Örebro to a 4-0 win over GAIS in a battle of last-place teams at Behrn Arena. Hasani struck in the 25th and 90th minutes. Alhassan Kamara and Ilir Berisha also scored for Örebro. Both Orebro and GAIS dropped down to the Superettan. Orebro finished in 15th place while GAIS finished last.
