Helsingborg 2, Halmstad 1
HELSINGBORG—The league leaders used a pair of late goals to knock of Halmstad 2-0 Aug. 21 at Olympia Stadium. Markus Holgersson broke open a scoreless match when he tallied in the 75th minute. Cristoffer Andersson doubled the score four minutes later. Micheal Rosen scored in injury time for Halmstad. The victory extended HIF’s unbeaten streak to 16 games.

Elfsborg 2, Syrianska 0
SÖDERTÄLJE—Elfsborg remained in second place after beating Syrianska 2-0 Aug. 21 at the Södertälje Football Arena. David Elm fired Elfsborg in front after 15 minutes. Stefan Ishizaki made the score 2-0 when he tallied at the 35-minute mark.

AIK 3, Trelleborg 0
SOLNA—Gabriel Özkan celebrated his return to the lineup by scoring a late goal to help AIK knock off Trelleborg Aug. 21 at Rasunda Stadium. Nils-Eric Johansson opened the scoring in the 29th minute. Robert Åhman Persson doubled the lead in the 59th minute. Özkan scored his goal one minute from time.

BK Häcken 2, Djurgården 0
GÖTEBORG—Mathias Ranegie scored twice to lead Hacken to a 2-0 win over Djurgården Aug. 21 at Rambergsvallen. Ranegie, the league’s leading scorer, scored at the 18- and 68-minute marks.

Kalmar 5, IFK Norrköping 0
KALMAR—Tobias Carlsson scored twice to lead Kalmar to a 5-0 pounding of Norrkoping Aug. 19 at Guldfågeln Arena. Carlsson gave Kalmar a 1-0 lead after eight minutes and struck again in the 59th minute. Ricardo Santos made the score 3-0 when he tallied in the 83rd minute. Erik Israelsson and Adiola Dauda scored in injury time.

Malmö 2, GAIS 1
MALMÖ—The defending league champions picked up just their second league win of the month, knocking off GAIS 2-1 Aug. 20 at Swedbank Arena. Ivo Pekalski put MFF in front after just four minutes. Wanderson do Carmo tied the match in the 64th minute. The goal was his ninth of the year. Yago Fernandez Prieto notched the game-winner for Malmö at the 88-minute mark.

IFK Göteborg 3, Gefle 0
GÖTEBORG—Hannes Stiller scored a brace to lead Göteborg to a 3-0 win over Gefle Aug. 22 at Gamla Ullevi. Stiller put IFK in front after 17 minutes and struck again in the 67 minute. Tobias Hysen scored his team-high 15th goal at the 52-minute mark.

Mjallby 2, Orebro 1
ÖREBRO—Mjällby got a pair of goals from Par Ericsson to knock of Örebro 2-0 Aug. 22 at Behrn Arena. Ericsson scored his first goal in the 38th minute and hit his second at the 84-minute mark. Ericsson now has four goals on the season.
