Defending champions Malmö lost a pair of matches in Round 11, on the field and in the board room. AIK handed Malmö a shock defeat June 12 at Råsunda Stadium. Five days later, the Disciplinary Committee of the Svenska Fotbollsförbundent slammed Malmö over the hooligan attacks that halted its May 24 derby with Helsingborg. The committee handed MFF a 3-0 forfeit loss and fined the club 150,000 kronor ($25,000).
It is the same penalty AIK paid after its fans forced game officials to halt its match April 25 against Syrianska.
“We expected to lose the game and have to pay a fine,” said Malmö vice president Per Nilsson. “There was already a precedent for this sort of punishment and we are not going to protest. It is simply unfortunate that it happened.”
In addition to the loss and fine, the federation ordered Malmö to increase its security measures at Swedbank Arena. Andersson said the club would install nets in front of the standing areas to prevent people from throwing debris or other things onto the field and to prevent the pitch invasion that forced the abandonment of the May 24 tilt against Helsingborg.
Andersson also said Malmö would begin inspecting handbags and backpacks to enforce a ban on pyrotechnic devices at the stadium.
The pair of losses might very well cost Malmö the chance at defending its hard-won 2010 title. MFF fell six places, from third to ninth, in the standings. Malmö now has 17 points from 11 matches and trails Helsingborg by two wins.
The forfeit victory kept Helsingborg in first place, two points in front of hard-charging Elfsborg. Helsingborg tops the standings with 24 points. Kalmar moved into third place with 20 points while Örebro rejoined the top four after a win over Trelleborg. ÖSK has 19 points.

Elfsborg 4, Mjällby 0
BORÅS—Daniel Nordmark scored twice off set pieces while Stefan Ishizaki continued his return to form to lead Elfsborg to a 4-0 win over Mjällby June 12 at Borås Arena. Ishizaki scored in the 25th minute to give Elfsborg a 1-0 lead. He lofted in the corner kick that Nordmark headed home in the 60th minute. The defender scored again seven minutes later. James Keene hit the final goal two minutes from time.

Örebro 4, Trelleborg 2
ÖREBRO—Valdet Rama and Nordin Gerzic each had two assists to help Orebro rally past Trelleborg 4-2 June 13 at Behrn Arena. William Atashkadeh and Markus Astvald scored in the first half to stake ÖSK to a 2-0 lead. Trelleborg rallied in the second half and tied the match on goals from Magnus Andersson and Ibrahim Konoma. Orebro captain scored the game winner off a Gerzic pass in the 90th minute. Kushtrim Lushtaku scored three minutes into stoppage time to make the score 4-2.

Djurgården 4, Göteborg 0
GÖTEBORG—Djurgården handed IFK Göteborg a 4-0 drubbing June 13 at Gamla Ullevi Stadium. Mattias Jönsson celebrated his return to action with a goal and an assist while Johan Oremo also picked up an assist in his first match of the season. Christer Youssef, Kasper Woldemar Hämäläine and Philip Hellquist also scored for DIF, which collected just its second win of the season.

AIK 2, Malmö 0
SOLNA—The Bangura boys combined for both goals as AIK beat Malmö 2-0 June at Råsunda Stadium. Mohamed Bangura fired AIK in front after 17 minutes. Ibrahim Teteh Bangura made it 2-0 when he tallied one minute after the interval. The two Sierra Leone internationals have a combined eight goals, with Ibrahim leading the duo with five.

BK Häcken 2, Norrköping 2
GÖTEBORG—League-leading scorer Matthias Ranegie barely had time to celebrate scoring an injury-time go-ahead goal for Häcken before Gunnar Heidar Thorvaldsson scored an equalizer for Norrkoping as the two teams played to a 2-2 draw June 11 at Rambergsvallen. René Makondele Muzola put Hacken in front after 25 minutes. Astrit Ajdarevic tied the game for Peking at the stroke of half time. Ranegie put Häcken back in front one minute into stoppage time before Thorvaldsson scored two minutes later.

Helsingborg 1, GAIS 1
HELSINGBORG—GAIS held league leaders Helsingborg to a 1-1 June 11 at Olympia Stadium. Mervic Celik handed the visitors a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute. Rasmus Jönsson tied the game at the 42-minute mark.

Kalmar 0, Gefle 0
KALMAR—Gefle goalkeeper Mattias Hugosson extended his shutout streak to four games as Gefle played to a scoreless draw with Kalmar June 12 at Guldfågeln. Hugosson has not allowed a goal in 379 minutes.

Syrianska 0, Halmstad 0
SÖDERTÄLJE—Syrianska moved above the relegation zone with a scoreless draw with Halmstad June 11 at Södertälje Football Arena. For Halmstad, the lone point wasn’t enough to pull the team out of dead last place.
