HELSINGBORG—Alexander Gerndt scored his first home goal of the season while rookie Simon Thern notched his first-ever goal to lead Helsingborg to a 3-0 win over Gefle May 9 at Olympia Stadium. Gerndt broke open a close game when he struck in the 64th minute. Marcus Holgersson put HIF in front after five minutes. Thern scored at the 71-minute mark.

Elfsborg 2, Norrköping 1
BORÅS—Elfsborg moved into second place in the standings thanks to a 2-1 win May 9 over Norrköping at Borås Arena. David Wiklander broke open a scoreless game to put Peking in front in the 58th minute. Lars Nilsson tied the match in the 71st minute. Niklas Hult hit the game winner five minutes from time.

Kalmar 2, Örebro 1
ÖREBRO—Kalmar moved into third place after knocking off slumping Örebro 2-1 May 6 at Behrn Arena. Daniel Mendes gave Kalmar an early lead. U.S. international Alejandro Bedoya tied the game before Erik Israelsson put Kalmar in front for good in the 59th minute. Örebro is winless in its last three matches.

Djurgården 2, Halmstad 0
STOCKHOLM—Magnus Pehrsson had a successful debut as the latest Djurgården manager as DIF beat winless Halmstad 2-0 May 7 at Stockholm Stadium. HBK goalkeeper Nauzat Perez helped DIF when he got a red card in the 36th minute. Kennedy Igboananike took advantage, scoring just three minutes after Perez was sent off. Sebastian Rajalakso doubled the lead two minutes after the interval. Halmstad is the only Allsvenskan team that has yet to win this season.

Häcken 3, AIK 1
GÖTEBORG—René Makondele Muzola had a goal and an assist to lead BK Häcken to a 3-1 win over AIK May 8 at Rambergsvallen. Muzola scored the opening goal after 31 minutes then set up Emil Wahlström at the 74-minute mark. Abdul Majeed Waris made it 3-0 in the 83rd minute before AIK pulled a goal back thanks to an own goal.

Göteborg 2, GAIS 1
GÖTEBORG—Tobias Hysén made sure IFK Göteborg would have the bragging rights after the first derby match of the year as Göteborg beat GAIS 2-1 May 9 at Gamla Ullevi Stadium. Mervan Celik put GAIS in front after 10 minutes. Jakob Johansson tied the match 11 minutes later. Hysén struck for the game winner at the 51-minute mark. Stefan Selakovic assisted on both IFK goals.

Trelleborg 1, Mjällby 0
SÖLVESBORG—Trelleborg won its third consecutive match, beating Mjällby 1-0 May 8 at Strandvallen. Joakim Nilsson scored the lone goal of the match in the 57th minute. Trelleborg goalkeeper prodigy Victor Noring made six saves for the win.

Malmö 0. Syrianska 0
SÖDERTÄLJE—Malmö continued to have problems finding the goal as it settled for a scoreless draw May 7 with Syrianska at Södertälje Football Arena. Malmö last scored April 20 against Mjällby. Its scoreless streak now stands at 285 minutes.
