Allsvenskan Round 5: Helsingborg moves to the top
Helsingborg took over sole possession of first place April 26 after a 1-1 draw against Örebro while Malmö lost 3-0 at Elfsborg. Malmö and Helsingborg went into Round 5 knotted at the top of the standings. IFK Norrköping moved into third place after defeating Djurgården 3-1.

Elfsborg 3, Malmö 0
BORÅS – Elfsborg finally lived up to its billing as the best team in the league with a 3-0 beat-down of Malmö. Johan Larsson had a goal and assists to lead Elfsborg to the win. Amadou Jawo and Andreas Augustsson also scored for Elfsborg. Malmö played the last three ninutes a man down after Yago Fernandez picked up his second yellow card of the match. Fernandez must sit out Malmö’s next match.

Helsingborg 1, Örebro 1
ÖREBRO – Helsingborg took advantage of a Malmö loss to move into first place after playing to a 1-1 draw with Örebro April 25 at Behrn Arena. Valdet Rama scored his first career goal to give Örebro a 1-0 lead. May Mahlangu tied the game in the 71st minute.

Norrköping 3, Djurgården 1
STOCKHOLM – IFK Norrköping won for the fourth time in five matches, dispatching Djurgården 3-1 April 24 at Stockholm Stadium. Christopher Telo had a pair of goals for Peking while Anders Wikström also struck. Sebastien Rajalsko tallied for DIF.

IFK Göteborg 2, Kalmar 0
GÖTEBORG – Tobias Hysén scored his first of the season to lead IFK Göteborg to its first win of 2011, a 2-0 blanking of Kalmar April 26 at Gamla Ullevi Stadiu. Hysen struck in the 41st minute. Niklas Bakroth added the second two minutes into second-half stoppage time.

Mjällby 1, GAIS 1
SÖLVESBORG – Mjällby scored early but could hold the lead as it settled for a 1-1 draw April with GAIS at Strandvallen. Markus Ekenberg put Mjällby in front after six minutes. Amadaiya Rennie tied the game at the 58-minute mark.

Halmstad 1, Trelleborg 1
HALMSTAD - Emil Salomonsson scored to give a Halmstad a share of the points in a 1-1 draw April 24 with Trelleborg at Örjans vall. Trelleborg took the lead after 48 minutes through Thommie Persson. Salomonsson tied the game in the 74th minute. Halmstad continues to look for its first win of the season.

BK Häcken 0, Gefle 0
GÖTEBORG – Häcken and Gefle played to a scoreless draw April 25 at Rambergsvallen. Christopher Källqvist and Mattias Hugosson shared the shut out honors.

Syrianska 1, AIK 0
SÖDERTALJE – Match officials ordered the abandonment of the Syrianska-AIK match April 25 at Södertalje Football Arena after fans threw explosives on the field, injuring an assistant referee. Syrianska held a 1-0 lead when the match ended.
