Prince Carl Philip and Miss Sofia Hellqvist engaged
The engagement between Prince Carl Philip and Sofia Hellqvist was announced by the Marshal of the Realm on June 27. His Majesty the King has given his consent to Prince Carl Philip to marry Miss Sofia Hellqvist and in accordance with the Constitutional provisions HM the King is obtaining the Swedish government's consent.

"Sofia has today answered yes when asked if she would be willing to share the rest of our lives together. Today is a happy day for Sophia and me," said Prince Carl Philip in an official statement from the Royal Court.

Date for the wedding has not yet been announced, but is scheduled to take place during the summer of 2015.
