Swedish Hollywood star Alexander Skarsgård is the face for Calvin Klein’s new fragrance for men, “Encounter." The luxury brand has used supermodels and actors like Ben Hill and Jamie Dornan in campaigns. And if you look closely at a recent ad with Skarsgård, you will see by his side one of today’s top models: Lara Stone.
The short film produced for the campaign is photographed by Steven Klein and directed by Fabien Baron.

Skarsgård began his international career in 2001, when he snatched a small part in the comedy “Zoolander,” starring Ben Stiller. His breakthrough came with the television series “True Blood,” where he plays the character Eric Northman, a vampire, slightly over one thousand years old, originally created by the New York Times bestselling author Charlaine Harris for The Southern Vampire Mysteries series. The TV version is now in its fifth season, and the seasonal True Blood premiere in June couldn’t come at a better time knowing that Encounter’s publicity campaign and short film will soon be out as well.
