Daniel Ek –among England’s richest
Swede Daniel Ek (founder of Spotify) tops the Sunday Times Rich List of young people in music. Among the 60 millionaires under age 30, Spotify’s Daniel Ek tops the music list. Ek’s Spotify fortune is measured at $307 million.

He started his business in 2006, with Martin Lorentzon, and the two went on to launch Spotify in the U.S. last year. Last week it was announced that Coca-Cola was to partner with Spotify to help both brands expand around the world. They will produce a Coke app based on the music service in time for the Olympics. Ek is, however, not the richest Swede living in England – that title goes to one of Tetrapak’s heirs – Hans Rausing and family. Spotify is a music streaming service offering digitally restricted streaming of selected music from a range of major and independent record labels, including Sony, EMI, Warner Music Group, and Universal.
