Together with businessman Torbjörn Blomqvist, Ledin has acquired the hotel Hesselby Slott (Palace), outside of Stockholm and will now transform it to a “Palace of Music”.

In a press release, Ledin states that owning a hotel is new territory for him but he has experience of hotels from his many tours and feels enticed by the challenge of creating “a meeting place for live music”. During a decade in the 20th century, Hässelby Palace was host for a series of “visaftnar”, evenings of song recitals. The partners acquired the hotel and conference center from Stockholm City already last winter.

In a first marketing drive a group of Swedish entertainers were invited to each decorate a room or a suite. The work and renovations of the rooms were televised in a show called Room for a Star [Rum för en Stjärna] this spring. The artists represent a wide range of genres; Marie Sernholt, Pernilla Wahlgren, Roger Pontare, Arja Saijonmaa, Thomas Di Leva, Magnus Carlsson, E-Type all created "their own" space.
Ledin’s latest album was “500 dagar om året” (500 days a year), released in 2009. More info on Ledin: www.tomasledin.com
