Sveaborg Lucia
Lucia for Sveaborg Lodge No. 449/VOA (Concord, CA) this year was Madison Blumer, 15, a Freshman at Northgate High School in Walnut Creek.
For eleven years she has been an active member of Sveaborg's youth group, Vasablad, which is led by Rosemary Fassl.
Madison's favorite subjects are math and science (she loves to watch the TV show "Bones"). She is on the water polo team and studies French. She has been active in Girl Scouts for 10 years and enjoys backpacking in the Sierras. A voracious reader, Madison loves mysteries.
Mormor is Swedish and Madison carries on the tradition of being a calm, quiet and gutsy woman.
