Located in the heart of the Financial District, MR is a hip yet elegant barbershop and urban lounge, capturing the perfect balance between cultured sophistication and raw energy.
We attended the festive happy hour where special drinks were offered, and the venue quickly filled up with a diverse crowd of professionals from the Bay Area and beyond.
Architect entrepreneur, Krisjon Svanberg, connected with like-minded people from the design community and was excited by the opportunity to practice his Swedish language skills as well.
Veteran SACC-SF members were also present, including business member and attorney David Strand from Goswami, Strand & Seaborn and Anders de Jounge, managing director of private investment firm Legend Merchant Group. Also present were colleagues from the French-American Chamber of Commerce, German-American Chamber of Commerce and Innovation Center Denmark. The majority of guests were non-members, and SACC-SF executive director Maria Larsson was happy to see so many new people all interested in learning more about the organization. Martina Brehmer, marketing communication manager from PolyCore Software, who had heard about the event from an acquaintance, said she enjoyed networking with the diversity of professionals all evening.
The Chamber’s newest intern, Bobby Persson, said, "This was a great opportunity to get to know all types of professionals within different fields—an exciting chance to expand your network of contacts in a hip and elegant atmosphere.”
Throughout the evening, connections were made, fun was had and tasty drinks were enjoyed in elegant and modern surroundings—making for an event so successful that SACC-SF/SV is considering it might become a monthly event. So, if you missed this one you may very well get another chance!
