The venue holds the classic yet modern design of Swedish Kitchen Company Kvänum. The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce San Francisco couldn’t find a better spot to rejoice in Easter together with members and friends.

Walking through the glass doors into Kvänum’s showroom at 526 Washington Street gives you the feeling of stepping into a Swedish home. Five different high quality wooden designed kitchens are exhibited along the white walls and the white painted floorboards. Kvänum Kitchens offers a cozy, traditional but exclusive design, giving an impression of craftsmanship. On April 8, the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce gathered fifty members and non-members to fill the showroom floor after hours. "Oh this feels typically Swedish because of the bright colors," said non-member Swede Veronica Brown. Member Anders Dahlstrom said "it feels like home here."
The guests mingled and chatted while Napa champagne was bubbling in the glasses and soft jazz tunes were performed by local musicians. Appetizers and chocolate were placed on the different worktops, bringing real life into the kitchens. And to add more of a Swedish feeling to this event, a Volvo XC60 was parked out front which was later shown to the group by a Volvo representative. The guests were cheerful, especially the crowd who took the chance to buy raffle eggs. “I participated and I won! I won four tickets to a winery tour,” said former member Ulla Niehoff.
