Sweden brings in around 1 billion SEK ($138.852 million) a year thanks to Danes owning summer houses there. According to Danish politiken.dk, it is the peace and quiet, the dark forests, the Swedish hospitality, and ‘matjessill’ and potatoes that bring Danes to Sweden.

12,550 Danes have decided to get a piece of Sweden, and according to a study done by the organization for Danish summer home owners, Danes who own homes like these in Sweden spend 970 million SEK ($134.686 million) on grocery shopping, restaurant visits and general shopping per year. Of the 12,550, 10,500 say they visit Sweden on average 15 times per year or 43 days.
