The Sjømannskirken Kronprinsesse Mette-Marits kirke (Scandinavian Church & Center, is the rather dull English name of it) will be ready in Miami, Florida in August/September.

Secretary General of the Sjømannskirke, Audun Myhre, said: “For us it is an honor that she will let us use her name for our church.” The reason the American church is named after Mette-Marit, is that she not too long ago visited a seamen’s church in Miami, with her husband Crown Prince Haakon.
