The artist Emma Karp Lundström created her tenth apple art for the Apple Market in Kivik, Sweden. She is known to use 12 or 13 apple varieties and anywhere from 30 to 40,000 apples for the large―nearly 1,200 square feet―work of art for the "widescreen" at the Apple Market. This year’s creation, called "Yes Box Bombi," was dedicated to the author Fritiof Nilsson Piraten (1895-1972).

A 1968 television series based on Piraten’s 1932 novel “Bombi Bitt och jag” [Bombi Bitt and I] became the starting point for renowned Swedish actor Stellan Skargård’s acting career.

One of the best known quotes of the popular author can be found on his gravestone in the village Ravlunda just outside of Kivik:

"Här under är askan av en man som hade vanan att skjuta allt till morgondagen. Dock bättrades han på sitt yttersta och dog verkligen den 31 januari 1972."

[Here below rests the remains of a man who had the habit of delaying everything until a day later. He bettered towards the end, however, and really died on January 31, 1972.]
