Matthew Barzun, recently returned US Ambassador to Sweden, will open the Event and Professor Otto Cars, European anti-infection guru from ReAct (Action on Antibiotic Resistance) will be 'Master of Ceremonies'.

The Consulate General of Sweden, supported by the Swedish Embassy, is inviting prominent researchers and companies from both sides of the Atlantic in an informal setting at the Swedish American Museum to discuss ways to cooperate in finding solutions to today´s infection control problems. Sweden has produced some world class innovations in the field and are continuing to break new barriers. Together with U.S. counterparts and Big Pharma better ways to combat the Bad Bugs are on the horizon.

The Event is arranged in connection with the ICAAC Convention (by American Society of Microbiology) in Chicago September 19 and is sponsored by a long list of Swedish and U.S. Institutions.
