Saffron glögg
1 bottle white wine
2 cinnamon sticks
5 white peppercorns
5 cloves
0.5 g saffron
1 vanilla pod (cut it open and remove the seeds)
0.5-1 Tablespoon liquid honey
1 orange (peeled and sliced; the entire orange will be used)
1 Tablespoon confectioner’s sugar
Put all ingredients except the confectioner’s sugar in a pot and bring to a simmer, don’t let it boil! Remove from heat and let it sit for about one hour. Strain but try to save the vanilla pod and the cinnamon. Reheat and add confectioner’s sugar to taste. Serve in small glasses and decorate with a piece of cinnamon in each glass.
