On Tuesday, March 3, SACC-New York hosted a seminar and luncheon about Kiruna, Sweden’s northernmost town, which is undergoing one of the most exciting urban transformations of all time.

Held at Restaurant Aquavit, the program featured representatives from the municipality of Kiruna, representatives from White Arkitekter and Lars-Eric Aaro, CEO of the mining company, LKAB. Each of the speakers has a key role in the “Giant Move,” an ambitious 20-year project that involves relocating the city two miles to the east of its present location.
