Hasse Persson Photography in DC: Studio 54
An exclusive glimpse into life at the end of the 1970s at the decadent Studio 54 in New York. Close to 40 photographs have been carefully selected by the photographer who's recently worked as artistic director and curator at several museums. Hasse Persson’s photographs from the late 1970s and early ’80s New York nightclub will be in the exhibition at House of Sweden, DC, starting September 19.

Hasse Persson is one of Sweden’s most respected photographers. He worked as a news photographer in the U.S. from 1967 to 1990, capturing everything from presidential campaigns to the decadent Studio 54 in New York. He has released five photography books and received His Majesty the King’s Medal for his aesthetic achievements as a photographer.
