In a vacant business premise in Chelsea, which only a couple hours earlier had been transformed into a bright and modern art gallery, the Young Professionals of SACC New York and the online gallery Uprise Art hosted an exclusive preview of an exhibit featuring artists Anthony Cudahy and Ryan James MacFarland.
Anthony Cudahy, born in 1989, lives and works in Brooklyn. Cudahy’s work has appeared in shows both in the United States and the UK. His pieces are romantic and fluid with lively brush strokes and large blocks of color suggesting a sense of ambiguity.
Photographer Ryan James Macfarland, born in 1985, explores the invisible workings of nature. Macfarland’s work is not only meant to capture his natural surroundings, but also to reconfigure our understandings of constructed and organic landscapes. The images are taken all over the world from the south of France to Los Angeles.
