British photographer Paul Graham is this year’s winner of the Hasselblad Award. Graham is a self-taught photographer, who discovered photography through the books of great American pioneers like Robert Frank, Walker Evans, and Paul Strand. Graham has lived in New York since the early 1990’s.

His first critical acclaim came with his early documentary work, including “A1-The Great North Road” (1983) and “Beyond Caring” (1985). Victor Hasselblad (1906 - 1978) was a Swedish inventor and photographer, known for inventing the Hasselblad 6x6 cm medium format camera.
